Devotees of Lord Krishna traditionally wear beads made of Tulasi around their neck. Tulasi beads are said to protect one from bad dreams, accidents, attacks by weapons, and inauspicious destinations at death. For these reasons and because she is dear to Krishna, devotees always wear Tulasi.
Natural, thin Tulasi beads are interspersed with large silver-capped round Tulasi and lapis lazuli. The charming pattern of natural Tulasi and lapis lazuli falls to a double-strand "Y" drop for a stylish look.
Lapis Lazuli is listed as the traditional birthstone for December, though the official stone is turquoise. It is also the planetary stone for Capricorn and the birthstone for Libra.
These Tulasi beads are strung on tough nylon monofilament, with an S-clasp. Approximately 18", fits one time around most necks. The double-strand "Y" is 1" long. Made in India.
